Paula Fendley, Ashley’s mother, has been an integral part of the Ashley Fendley Foundation since its inception and is always touched by the impact scholarships and funding make in the lives of those in need. As a transformational life coach, Paula draws on her almost 40 years of experience working with adults and teens to help them build their dreams, accelerate their results, and create richer, more fulfilling lives. With 36 years of experience in education, Paula worked as a teacher, counselor and principal, and always focused on the unique needs of each student, serving as mediator and student advocate when needed. She is passionate about providing young people and their families with the support and tools they need to navigate life’s challenges.  

A loyal Cougar, she obtained her Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Doctorate degrees at the University of Houston, and knows the importance of college scholarships as well as educational initiatives that make a positive impact in the community. She is passionate about providing a structure of support and education to challenge and support individuals to focus on the action steps they can take right now to achieve new heights of success, meaning, and aliveness while contributing to society in a meaningful way.
